Now you can update your Yu Yureka device from Android Kitkat 4.4.4 to Lollipop 5.0 usning OTA updates. The OTA update has come for your device and this update will upgrade your Yu Yureka to Cyanogen OS 12.0 based on Android 5.0 Lollipop. I'm going to show you how can you update Android Lollipop on your Yureka smartphone.
Steps to be done Before Updating Yu Yureka
- Make sure that you have atleast 80% battery on your Yureka before downloading the update.
- Ensure availability of good Wifi connection or 3G Data Plan.
- Take Backup of your all data recommended but not necessary because updating process won't wipe any data.
- Make sure you have minimum 1 Gb free space available in your phone.
Now Go to Settings > About Phone > System Updates > Click on Download Update
or You will be shown a message i.e. System Update is available in your notification drawer see the image below.
After clicking on Download Update the update will start automatically.
If unfortunately your 3G Network have gone or Wifi connection unavailable Don't worry your update will resume and next time when you have Wifi signal or 3G network availability your download will start automatically.
After the downloading of Update is complete you will be notified when it is ready for installation.
Installation Process will take 30 to 40 minutes and after that your Yureka device have Lollipop version.
